Registration bookings open on Saturday lst July at 8.00am and close on Friday 1st September at 10.00pm. A link to the system will be enabled via this webpage when bookings open. Registration fees are $30 if walking on two days and $20 if walking on one day. Registration entitles the participant to attend the pre dinner snacks at Arrabri and to receive the Walks booklet containing details of the 20 walks on offer over the weekend. The cost of the Saturday evening meal for those not staying at Arrabri is $25.

Only members of a bushwalking club that is affiliated or associated with Bushwalking Victoria, or individual members of Bushwalking Victoria (those not a member of a bushwalking club) are eligible to attend this event. Individual Bushwalking Victoria members will need to become Temporary Members of Melbourne Bushwalkers for insurance purposes (at no extra cost). Refer Melbourne Bushwalkers "Acknowledgement of Risk Form for Temporary Members/Visitors" form.

WALKS

Walkers should review the Walks Program carefully as well as the accompanying Outlines and Maps and make three walk choices for each day they intend to walk. Record these to enter into the Bookings system when it opens. Choose carefully, considering in particular the standard applicable to the scheduled walks, the length and other walk details. Choose walks that are well within your ability and fitness level. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.

SOCIAL PROGRAM

If you would like to join your fellow bushwalkers for the Saturday social evening with pre dinner snacks, meal and guest speakers, please look at the "Social Program".

For those staying at Arrabri the Saturday dinner is included in the cost and you are also able to select an optional Friday dinner.

ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM

It is possible for one person to book and pay for multiple attendees, eg 2, 3 or 4 who may have different choices. You may also book multiple people, eg 2, 3 or 4 into the same accommodation room at Arrabri. In addition, a single male or female is able to book into a shared same sex dormitory room at Arrabri sleeping a maximum of 4 people. One ticket will be issued for each attendee showing their individual choices, plus a receipt for the total booking to the person making the booking. Keep this email in case you need to cancel your booking later. Each ticket (eg Walks and Accommodation, if applicable) incurs a booking fee (per attendee) of 30cents, which is non refundable.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations prior to two weeks before the event (up to 13th October) will receive a full refund (less the 30 cents TryBooking fee). Cancellations after 13th October will not receive any refund of Registration fees but will receive a refund of monies paid for an Arrabri Accommodation and Meals package, provided we still maintain our required minimum booking numbers.

You cancel from the event at any time until bookings close on Friday lst September by forwarding your original TryBooking confirmation email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. You will receive a refund of your ticket price less the 30 cents TryBooking fee.

It is not possible to amend a booking once submitted and paid. If you have made a mistake, you can rebook, then request cancellation and refund of your original booking by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. You will however, lose your previous place for walk choice.

NOTE: In the event the total weekend is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances such as fire, high temperatures or storms, there will be no refunds issued for registration fees.

WALK CONFIRMATION/ALLOCATION

Attendees will be advised by email approximately three weeks before the event of the walk(s) on which they have been confirmed, as well as their walk assembly time, car pool costs and what they are required to bring to registration. Attendees without an email address will be notified via the person who made the booking.

DOCUMENTS AT REGISTRATION

Every walker is required to complete the Emergency Medical Information Form, bring it to registration, walk assembly and carry it while walking in an outer pocket of your pack. The information will only be accessed by the leader in an emergency.

Bushwalking Victoria Individual members, eg participants who are not a member of any particular Bushwalking Club, are required to complete a Melbourne Bushwalkers – "Acknowledgment of Risk Form for Temporary Members/Visitors". The completed form is to be handed in at registration.

You will also be asked to bring your TryBooking tickets and Walk confirmation email with you to registration.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

In voluntarily participating in the walk/s described in the Walks Program on this website I am aware that my participation in this activity may expose me to hazards and risks that could lead to injury, illness or death or to loss of or damage to my property. These risks include, but are not limited to, slippery and/or uneven rocks, rocks being dislodged, snakes, heat, bushfire, rain, storm and hypothermia.

To minimize these risks, I will endeavour to ensure that:

  1. This activity is within my capabilities;
  2. I will carry food, water and equipment appropriate for the activity; and
  3. I will advise the activity leader if I am taking any medication or have any physical or other limitation that might affect my participation in the activity.
  4. I will make every effort to remain with the rest of the party during the activity and accept the instructions of the leader of the activity

I have read and understand these requirements. I have considered the risks before choosing to book on this/these walk(s) and accept that by so booking I will take responsibility for my own actions.
